sun appears red at the sunset and sunrise because at that time the intensity of the sunlight is lesser

vsr999 can you plz tell me that if we write that on that time region of sunset or sunrise decrease in altitude and density thats why it seems reddish.....

here is your ans....
During sunrise and sunset, the rays have to travel a larger part of the atmosphere because they are very close to the horizon. Therefore, light other than red is mostly scattered away. Most of the red light, which is the least scattered, enters our eyes. Hence, the sun and the sky appearred.
