i.the cartilage rings of cartilage are present in trachea which help in contraction and relaxation ( peristalsis) to send the food to the oesophagus.

ii . beacause concentrated HCL is present in our stomach which can be very harmful and can burn us ..due to this a layer of mucus is secreted along the stomach line to prevent burning.
