3)Argon is placed in group 18 because it has 8 electrons in valence shell
4) Ionisation energy or potential is the minimum energy required to remove the electron of outermost shell.Atoms with bigger atomic radii have less attraction from the nucleus because of their far distance,hence the atoms can be removed easily with less energy.
