Angular frequency (ω), also known as radial or circular frequency, measures angular displacement per unit time. Its units are therefore degrees (or radians) per second. Angular frequency (in radians) is larger than regular frequency (in Hz) by a factor of 2π….

so when an object rotates or move in circular path, we measure the rate at which it completes its cycle. while the regular frequency is 1/(time period T)..


we can define this… a wave repeat itself after a certain time interval, it must not to be travel in circular path or rotate just like pendulum or earth and so on….. it just repeat itself after a certain time period
