Velocity = Wavelength * Frequency
This can be easily derived by basic knowledge of lengths and wave motion characteristics.
For the travelling energy in the wave,
x = v t
Now,
Phase = 2π/Wavelength * Path difference (x)
Also,
Phase = 2π/Time period * Path difference (x)
Simplifying these two equations, we can come to the relationship v = n*Wavelength
