Mitosis creates identical copies of the original cells. This allows our skin or our liver to be made of identical cells and allows plants to be able to mass produce leaves with identical properties. Mitosis is a process where a single cell divides into two identical daughter cells (cell division). divides once to form two identical cells. The major purpose of mitosis is for growth and to replace worn out cells.

here is your answer

  • Produces genetically identical daughter cells.
  • Restores the nucleo cytoplasmic ratios which are disturbed by cell growth
  • Ensures cell repair and replacements. e.g.blood cells, upper epidermal layer.
  • Provides continuous plant growth through meristematic tissues.

hope it's help.
