saturated compound structure formule is CñH²ñ+1 use for alkane in singal bond unsaturated compound alkene and alkyne. to form double and triple bond and structure formule is alkene Cñ+H²ñ

SATURATED HYDROCARBON

hydrocarbon that are bonded only by single bond is called saturated hydrocarbon.

The general formula of saturated hydrocarbon is CnH2n+2, where n is number of carbon compound.

UNSATURATED HYDROCARBON

a hydrocarbon in which two carbon atoms are connected by a double bond or triple bond is called unsaturated hydrocarbon.

There are two types of unsaturated hydrocarbon:-

1. Alkene

2. Alkyne
