Rosenthal's canal or the spiral canal of the cochlea is a section of the bony labyrinth of theinner ear that is approximately 30 mm long and makes 2¾ turns about the modiolus, the central axis of the cochlea that contains the spiral ganglion. There are several specialized types of cell in the inner ear.

The inner ear of human has two main parts -
1) Cochlea
It mainly helps in the conversion of sound waves into nerve impulses
2) Semicircular canal
It helps in maintaining the dynamic balance
