The normal biomass produces a lot of smoke also it doesnt have enough calorific value. Therefore the modern technologies has mad biomass more efficient with the help of the biomass plant. Also called "gobar plant".
Working:
The slurry that is the mixture of cowdung and water is fed into the digester. The digester is a room which is tightly sealed so that oxygen cannot enter. Here anaerobic decomposition takes place and lot of gases like methane carbondioxide hydrogen hydrogensulphide are released. And sent out through the gas outlet.
This biomass contains 75% of methane gas and thus is a clean fuel.It does not give out smoke also has high calorific value.
The slurry that is leftover is used as a good manure
Principle:
The digester uses anaerobic decomposition
