give three examples of conductor and insulator one of them being a liquid
Answers
here's ur answer...
first of all what are CONDUCTORS and INSULATORS..
CONDUCTOR - the material which allow electric current to pass through them are called conductors of electricity.
INSULATORS - the material which don't allow any electric current to pass through them are called insulators.
example of CONDUCTOR with one of them will be liquid :-
1. iron
2. graphite
4. copper
3. mercury (liquid at room temperature)
4. sea water
example of INSULATORS with one of them is liquid :-
1. plastic
2. dry wood
3. paper
3. distilled or pure water.
hope this helps u..!!
Most materials can be classified as conductors or insulators (dielectrics) based on their electrical conductivity.
Conductors have superb conductivity. Superb as in, of the order of 1022 Sm.
Insulators are substances with very high resistivity or very low conductivity.
By conductivity, I mean electrical conductivity.
Examples of conductors include Copper, Gold, Platinum, Aluminium, Mercury, Silver, Various electrolytes, Graphite etc.
Examples of dielectrics include rubber, wood, plastic, various plastic like polymers, etc.
Explanation:The difference between conductors and insulators is due to electronic structure of atoms and molecules.
Wherever we have free electrons, we have a solid conductor where free electrons help in conduction.
In electrolytes, charged Ions perform conduction.
Dielectrics (or insulators) don't have free electrons present.
