Limitations of Mendeleev's periodic classification

1) Incorrect order of atomic masses of few elements- He arranged the elements in order of increasing atomic masses, but at a number of places in his table, this order wasn't followed

eg- Aluminium (29.98) was placed before Silicon(28.09)

2) No position for hydrogen- He couldn't assign the position of hydrogen as it resembles with both alkali metals and halogens

3) Position of Isotopes- Isotopes are placed in same position even though they have different atomic masses.
