To make school goodies shopping eco friendly we can follow some step s such as
1-Less wastage of papers and donating the left overs to shops .
2-We must not tear pages and whatever is wasted must be use out for making models such as lanterns, kites , colour papers for selling it .
3-Best out of waste must be ensured such as making interesting things such as pencil stand from left up covers etc .
Hope this helps you !

Hey There! Time to plan #Back2School shopping! :D

School reopening day is no way far! Planning your school accessory shopping?

Well, why don’t be smart with it? ;)

We always say “Old is Gold” & it’s true for our shopping strategy as well!

Planning to buy all brand new bags, umbrellas, books, school tools, etc. seen in those addictive company ads? This is where we must be smart & stay away from company tricks for their marketing.

Let’s think for a while & see how to be school-smart!

I’ll help you with this! Let’s be eco-friendly [here, ‘eco’ refers to ecology & economy].

Don’t you have all those old school stuffs still with you? [Hope you didn’t sell it so fast! :P ]

Now, let’s chatter the mantra “Old is Gold” & get started with our new strategy!

Let’s get the best products out of those old ones with less than a fraction of money we would spend on shopping. It’s eco-friendly & a way to show off your creativity as well!

Old Books: Don’t you still have many old books you rarely used last year? Or, there might be books with 50% unused pages. Simply grab all such old notebooks with empty pages. Tear off all those fresh pages neatly. Now, simply take a stapler & just pin all those pages together as it is pinned in notebooks. If you don’t bother to spend some bucks, you can also go for spiral binding it. This would clear of all those books kept uselessly & help you get a cool & BIG rough notebook!

Old Uniforms: Give your old uniforms for dry-cleaning & keep it neatly. It will be handy when the new pair of uniform accidentally gets spoiled or during monsoon season. This idea has two basic limitations; we can’t use the old pair of uniforms if the school has changed the dress code or it’s very much unfit to wear now.

Old Schoolbags: Let’s give rebirth to old bags as well! Just see if your previous years’ bags are not very much damaged. If there are only a few damages, you can simply go for repairing rather than buying a new one. If you find some tears in it, simply buy some colourful cloth pieces & stitch those patches of vibrant colours onto the tears. I can bet you that it would look more stylish than ever before! It would be like a patchwork art.

Old Umbrellas: If they are not seriously damaged, I would suggest that you should get it repaired at low cost rather buying new. Umbrellas are limited-use stuff, i.e., they will be useful only outdoors when it’s raining or hot. If your old umbrella can protect you, why going after new ones? Anyways, it’s your wish. If you really want brand new umbrellas, at least don’t hesitate to donate old umbrellas to kids without them.

Old Gadgets: Regarding school gadgets like wristwatches & calculators, we ought to have an eco-friendly attitude. If replacing batteries or repairing can make them look new, it would be the best way! Watches come with 1+ years guarantee. So, we can get it repaired even free of cost.

Old Crayons: This tip is mainly for primary kids who love wax crayon colouring. If we have old crayons with short lengths, do join 2 crayons end to end via melting. Won’t it be cool to have two colours at both ends of each crayon?

Old Glue/Ink Bottles: Search around to see if there are left over glue in any bottles. There might be many bottles with some glue left in it. Collect all those bottles & pour all the leftover glue from each bottle to a single container & keep it safe for the new academic year. The same tip is applicable for ink bottles as well.

Old Pens: If you already have a stock of ball pens with empty refills, don’t buy new pens. You can simply replace refills. You can buy packets of refillers which will lesser than packets of pens. Remember, the performance of pens depend on refill rather than its physical outlook.

Caps of Old Pens, Buttons, etc.: Why to spend money on buying glitters & ribbons to decorate your upcoming project works when you can do it more creatively with caps of old pens, broken buttons, pulses, etc.? Think creative! :)

Old Water Bottles: If they don’t have holes in them, we can still use old bottles to store water. If they are damaged, we can cut them to make pen stands which can be made more creative by crafting.

Short Pencils & Erasers: If you find short pencils or erasers with your old school stuff, don’t dump them in trash cans. They will surely prove to be handy while your drawing or geometry classes in the next academic year. Keep them safe & neat in a pencil case.

Old Pencil Cases: Keep safe your old pencil cases which will be useful in case you lose or break your new boxes. You can use them to carry craft tools to school during project time.

This will help you not only to save the environment, but also to impress your parents who unwilling gave you money for your shopping. If you save that money & return it to them, that would be a credit to you as well as a credit of 50% money to your pocket money! ;)

Best Wishes for your new academic year ahead! Be cool & study well! ;)
