The reaction between an acid and a base give a salt and water is known as neutralization reaction. Application are:- 1:-1. Tooth decay or cavities:-

Chocolates and decaying food particles produce acid in our mouth which reacts with enamel i.e. calcium phosphate and leads to cavities. Using toothpaste while brushing help to neutralize the acid since toothpaste is a base
2:-4. To treat wasp-stings

Wasp stings are basic in nature. Vinegar which is acetic acid, is used to cure wasp-stings as it neutralizes the stings.

Heya Friend!!

Here's ur answer :-

• Neutralization reaction is the reaction where acid and base react to form salt and water by reducing the action of each.

Two applications are :-

° Gastric patient :- When the secretion of HCl that is an acid increase in our stomach then we are advised to take NaHCO3 an antacid which neutralize the action of HCl in stomach.

° Cavity :- When we eat the medium of our mouth became acidic due to which the upper layer of teeth that is enamel start corroding known as cavity.
To cure this we use toothpaste which is slightly basic and it neutralize the reaction of acid in mouth preventing from cavity.
