Using toothpaste while brushing help to neutralize the acid since toothpaste is a base. Anti-acids or antacids are medicines containing bases such as (sodium bicarbonate) (magnesium hydroxide) neutralize excess of acid in stomach. Plants do not grow well in acidic soils.
