While catching a ball , a cricket players moves his hand in backward direction to save himself from getting hurt .
by moving his hand the time interval to reduce the momomentum to zero ,is increased
So the rate of momentum is decerased and from Newton's 2nd law of motion the force on his hand is decreased and he will get less injury(hurt)
