mixture- 1. it is a form of matter in which two or more substances are simply mixed in any proportion
2. it is of two types - heterogeneous mix and homogeneous mix

♣Constituents combine in any ratio to form a mixture while constituents combine in a fixed ratio to form a compound.
♣In mixtures constituents retain their properties while in compounds constituents do not retain their properties as a new substance is formed.
