These ions can contribute to the conduction of electricity through a solution. The main difference between strong electrolytes and weak electrolytes is that strong electrolytes can almost completely dissociate into its ions whereas weak electrolytes partially dissociate into ions.

STRONG ELECTROLYTE: 1. completely dissociate in water to form ions.

2. Ex: HCl, H2SO4

WEAK ELECTROLYTE: 1. partially dissociate in water to form ions.

2. Ex: C6H12O6 (GLUCOSE)
