1) Acute diseases :
→ Acute disease run a short period of time.
→ It does not cause any harm to our body.
→ example : Cough, Cold etc......
→ They do not cause long term or ill effects on human.
2) Chronic diseases :
→ Chronic diseases last for a long period of time.
→ Have a drastic effect on our body is called chronic disease.
→ Example : Tuberculosis , Aids , Cancer etc....
→ They may cause severe long term effects on human health, which may be life-threatening too.

Acute disease :-
An acute disease is one which comes rapidly and can be dangerous.
It cover very soon, not have enough time to cause major effects on general health.
Example :- Common cold, strep throat etc.
Chronic disease :-
A chronic disease is one that last for a longer period of time.
It is treated in a long time and causes prolonged general poor health.
Example :- Elephantiasis, Cancer etc.
