All the tropic movents are controlled by the auxins. The light is perceived at the tip of the shoot but growth will takes place below the tip i.e the region of light preception and diffrential growth .
At tip phototropins (blue light receptors )are present . It is chemically flavoproteins and these receptors get autophosphorylated in response to light .
As it get phosphorylated receptors became charged and get unfit to be in the membrane so they detached with the membrane and interact with those protein that are involved in auxin transport.
Light causes lateral movement of auxin from expose area to the shaded area of a plant .
Light does not causes photodestruction of auxin . In shaded region P-type ATPases will be more activated i.e cell wall become more acidic in shaded region thus more growth and elongation in shaded region takes place and the plant starts bending towars the light
