The physical substances which easily conducts a good amount of heat with minimum losses of heat ,are known as the heat conductors.

For example :

Gold,Iron etc.

On the other hand;

The physical substances which cannot easily conduct a good amount of heat energy are known as the heat insulators.

For example :

Wood, thermocol etc.
