Two  examples each to support the following conclusions about the Indian Constitution are as follows :

(A) The Constitution was made by credible leaders who commanded peoples’ respect :

(B) The Constitution has distributed power in such a way as to make it difficult to subvert it :

(i) The powers of the government under the Constitution have been divided between the legislature, the executive and the judiciary in such a way that no single institution can destroy the structure of the Constitution.

(ii) Under the Constitution, three lists have been made for sharing of powers between the Center and the States - Union List, State List and Concurrent List. There are 97 states in the federal list, 66 subjects in the list and 47 subjects in the concurrent list. Residue powers are near the center. Changing the sharing of powers is a difficult task.

(C) The Constitution is the locus of people’s hopes and aspirations :

(i) Indian Constitution is compatible with the ideals and values of Indian society. Untouchability has been abolished by Article 18 of the Constitution. All is equal before the law.
