1) The work done by a fielder when he takes a catch in a cricket match is negative. Because the fielder catches the ball in the direction opposite to the displacement of the ball.
2) The work done by a gravitational force when we climb a tree. Here also, the earth is applying force in the direction opposite to the displacement of the body.
