Examples of the substances that can be degraded naturally are - paper and vegetable peels.

  • The substances that can be degraded or decomposed naturally (with the help of the different micro-organisms) are popularly known as the biodegradable substances.
  • There are different examples of biodegradable substances. Two of them are mentioned already mentioned above (ie. paper and vegetable peels) and some other examples are - wood,used tea leaves, flowers, fruits etc.
  • Also, these biodegradable substances are not harmful for the environment.
