Answer:

Two examples of paleolithic sites are as follows :-

• Blombos Cave

• Border Cave

Explanation:

Blombos Cave:-

Blombos Cave in South Africa is located near the ocean. At Blombos Cave, archaeologists have found blades carved from animal bone dating back to 70,000 years ago. These blades were decorated, showing that Old Stone Age people had an appreciation for artwork. These blades are some of the oldest tools found to date. Is it possible that humans at one time did not use tools at all? That would have been a very difficult way of life.

Border Cave:-

Located in South Africa, on the border of Swaziland, is the Border Cave. Remains of seeds show archaeologists the types of plant life that the Stone Age people ate at Border Cave, wild plums and oranges were among the plant remains found. In addition to plant life, the remains of five humans and various animals were found in the cave. Some of the bones are from animals that are now extinct. From the remains we know that the people at Border Cave ate zebra and buffalo.

An interesting find from Border Cave is the Lebombo Bone, a bone with 29 notches carved into it, which experts believe is the oldest known counting device. The Lebombo Bone dates back to 35,000 years ago.
