The rime of the ancient mariner has supernatural touches first of all the supernatural aspect is clearly seen in the physical appearance and how he has a kind of total hold on he weeding guest. his appearance signify that he is a soul being tormented by some supernatural power or agency. then ancient mariner suddenly get a hold of the weeding guest and start narrating his story with. there was a ship its something unusal. 
secondly he have long grey beard and glitterious eyes, he look curious strange and uncommon way in holding the weeding guest hand the weeding guest listen like him like three year old child 
the description of the ship when it gets into the coldest region south pole is fearful and supernatural. the most high ice and ice berge cause fear in our heart . and sudden coming of the albatross from the ice berges . the killing of the albatross without any reason by the mariner. then their suffering are unnatural the rutting water of the sea with death fires burning and giving out different colours is equally terrifying. this remind us of witches performing an evils ritual all these aspect given in the poem make it as a supernatural story set in the mediaeval time.
