give two examples or situation that shows how the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere and like are interconnected with one another
Answers
Answer:
steps to be followed
Explanation:
The geosphere consists of the core, mantle and crust of the Earth.
The atmosphere contains all of the Earth’s air and is divided into troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere and ionosphere.
The hydrosphere contains all of the solid, liquid and gaseous water on Earth, extending from the depths of the sea to the upper reaches of the troposphere where water is found. Ninety-seven percent of the hydrosphere is found in salty oceans, and the remainder is found as vapor or droplets in the atmosphere and as liquid in ground water, lakes, rivers, glaciers and snowfields.
Two situations showing the interaction of different spheres are Evaporation and Weathering of Rocks.
1. Evaporation
- The water in the hydrosphere gets evaporated into vapors and goes into the atmosphere. These vapors form the clouds in the atmosphere that ultimately return the water into the hydrosphere via rain.
- The rain also helps the biosphere to grow and sustain.
2. Weathering of Rocks
- Rocks are a part of the geosphere. They are broken into smaller pieces to form soil.
- Hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere all contribute to weathering of rocks in the form of water currents, wind currents, and the action of lichens on rocks respectively.
