In winter seasons rubbing your palms together produces heat from friction. The tyres of fast moving vehicles get heated up due to friction. Most meteors do not reach the surface of the earth.

The two examples to show that friction produces heat are as follows :-

  • Rubbing of your both hands together to keep them warm in winter season. So, when we rub  both the hands it produces heat.

  • Rubbing of sticks or stones together to produce fire.
