Explanation:

1. Take a stone and throw it at any angle . You see it goes upwards as well as forward. The upward motion is a motion under gravity while the forward motion is a linear motion . The whole motion can be said as the superposition of the two.

2. U see bowling ball rolling, the ball posses two types of motion. First , a rotational motion (i.e. it spins around its axis of rotation) and also shows a linear motion .
