Answer:

Explanation:

Sound waves usually travel through air or water, but they can also travel through solids too, like walls or furniture. Sound waves use the matter to move the vibrations.

Answer:

The two examples to show that sound can travel through a solid medium are

(1) Let us press our ears onto one side of a rustic bench and ask a friend to tap or scratch the other end of the bench smoothly. We'll hear the sound of tapping or scratching through the rustic bench quite loudly. This shows that sound can travel through wood, which is solid.

(2) Take two open drum barrels, each having a small hole at the centre on its bottom. Also, take about 20 metres long thick thread. Pass one end of the thread into the hole of one drum-barrel and hold it onto Inside the can by tying it to a leg. Also, pass the other end of the thread into the hole of the alternate drum barrel and then tie it to another leg. The two drum barrels connected by the thread are now held by two children and taken as far as possible so that the thread gets stretched tightly. this experiment will create a sound.
