Answer :

The poet says that during a journey, everything is left behind. The speed of the train is very fast which can leave everything behind it. There are different things and different people whom the poet saw from the couch of the train. The primary focus of the poet is that these things come and go. They do not stay forever and the things pass on and nothing can beat the importance of time.

Note: The poem "From A Railway Carriage" has been written by R. L. Stevenson. In the poem, the poet tells about the journey.

Two instances of the leisurely pace of life outside are: the tramp who ‘stands and gazes’ and the cart ‘lumping along with man and load’. These are in strike in contrast to the speeding train.
