Answer:

(8,1) ,(6,2) ...

Step-by-step explanation:

condition for x and y is that (x,y) is equidistant from points (-1,8) and (3,4).

=> (x-(-1) )² + (y-8)² = (x-3 )² + (y-4)²

=>  (x+1)² + (y-8)² = (x-3 )² + (y-4)²

=>  +1²+2x ++8²-16y = +3²+6x + +4²-8y

=>  1+2x +64-16y = 9+6x +16-8y

=>  2x -16y+65 = 6x -8y+25

=>  6x-2x-8y+16y+25-65 = 0

=>  4x+8y-40 = 0

=>  x+2y-10 = 0

=>  x+2y = 10

ie, x = 10 - 2y

when y = 1,

=> x = 10 - 2(1) = 10-2 = 8   so, one solution is (8,1)

when y = 2,

=> x = 10 - 2(2) = 10-4 = 6   so, another solution is (6,2)

and so on,
