DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ELEMENT AND A COMPOUND ARE FOLLOWING :

ELEMENT

(1). Element cannot be broken down to simpler substance.

(2). For example - Copper , Oxygen, Iron , Hydrogen, Mercury etc.

COMPOUND

(1). Element react to from New compounds.

(2). The composition of each new substance is always fixed.

THE PROPERTIES OF A COLLOID :

(1). A COLLOID is a heterogeneous mixtures.

(2). The size of particles of a colloid is too small to be individually seen by naked eyes.

(3). Colloid are big enough to scatter a beam of light passing through it and make its path visible.
