Hey mate,

1. Only certain special orbits known as discrete orbits of electrons, are allowed inside the atom.

2. While revolving in discrete orbits the electrons do not radiate energy.

We get from Rutherford that the electrons nucleates in stationary state does not move and radiate energy and hence considered stationary state.

While the electrons jump or in physical manner lose or gain energy while going from one state to other performs the exchange of energy in a very specific way and not just lose or gain any energy.

While the do so, each line in spectrum is produced while the electrons move from one stationary orbit to the other.
