I think u mean 'g' because 'G' is fixed but acceleration due to gravity changes at pole and equator because:
The earth is not a perfect sphere thus the distance from centre to surface is more at equator than at poles.(Earth is like an orange, pressed at poles)
so, g changes at g=GM/R2 and R is more on equator than on pole.
This is the reason I learnt last year.
