Give two reasons for industrial stagnation during the British rule in India.

following are the two major reasons :
1) during British rule, Britishers exported raw material to their country for production in their country. They were buying raw material at a very cheap rate.
2) during British rule, Britishers were selling raw material to indian industry at a very high rate which was reducing the competitiveness of Indian industries forcing them to wind up their industries.

Therefore in India, industries were not able to grow and do their business easily which resulted in industrial stagnation.
