(a) Water at room temperature is a liquid, because at room temperature, water exits as liquid. Above 100°C, it exits as boiling water or vapour, and below 0°C it exists as ice.(b) The boiling point of iron is 2860°C, its melting point is 1538°C. An iron almirah is a solid atroom temperature, because he melting point of iron is very high, 1538°C. At any temperature below this and also at room temperature, iron exists as solid.
