  • To insert a new slide that contains a “Title and Content” slide layout, click the “Home” tab in the Ribbon.
  • Then click the “New Slide” button in the “Slides” button group.
  • To insert a new slide and choose the slide layout, click the drop-down part of this button.

  • In the slide thumbnail pane on the left, click the slide that you want your new slide to follow.
  • On the Home tab, click New Slide.
  • In the New Slide dialog box, select the layout that you want for your new slide. Learn more about slide layouts.
  • Select Add Slide.
