The thing is that for growing crops they had accidently done it. They ate and threw seeds of fruits and other and after some time they had noticed that small green structures which later grew into big plants and trees.
in short, they didn't learn they observed theu ate a fruit and threw the seeds.THey observed that this seed that they threw grew into a sapling hence they learnt to grow plant and grain. when wants and need approached lives , they had to think of solution.so diverse thinking resulted in beings thinking of solutions to solve solutions which approached them. It also leads to inventions like the wheel and transport.
