The equation for an aerobic respiration in a yeast cell is:
Glucose→Pyruvic acid→ethanol+carbon dioxide+energy
Here, glucose(C6H12O6) is a 6-C molecule which gets transformed into a 3-C molecule called pyruvic acid. This equation is comman in many cells of all organisms. In a yeast cell, this pyruvic acid breaks down into ethanol(C2H6O), carbon dioxide(CO2) and energy. This is how anaerobic respiration place in a yeast cell and provides energy o the organism.
