To find : value of $m$ .

Given :  $y = mx - 10$

            $x = -2$ and $y = -4$  

Solution :  

• To find the value of m in the given expression , we substitute the value of  $x$ and $y$ .  
• $y = mx - 10$  

       $-4 = m(-2) -10 \\-4 = -2m -10 \\-2m = -4+ 10 \\m = \frac{6}{-2} \\m = -3$

Hence , value of $m$ is $-3$ .
