Explanation:
HEY MATE ......
- A reaction in which a substance is broken down into at least two other substances by heat is called thermal decomposition. If limewater is shaken with a sample of the gas produced, the limewater turns milky. This shows that the gas is carbon dioxide. The solid in the test tube changes colour as the copper carbonate breaks down to copper oxide and carbon dioxide..( CU CO3 ➞Cu O + CO2.)
- Acid metal reactions usually produce a salt, in this case, zinc chloride and hydrogen gas. After adding magnesium ribbon/strips to HCl, you will realise that the test tube is warm. That's due to heat energy which is being released from the reaction.
- When a iron rod is kept dipped in copper sulphate solution a brown coating of copper is formed on the surface of iron. The colour of the solution changes from blue to light green. It shows that iron is more reactive than copper it replaces copper from CuSO4. CuSO4 is blue in colour and FeSO4 is light green in colour.
