The non alignment was a movement which was formed during the cold war. It was initiative of then Yugoslav Persident Josip Broz Tito. It was necessary as an organization of states who did not seek to align themselves either with the Soviet Union or the United States, but remained independent.

Opinion on Non-alignment was necessary during the Cold War:

The movement of Non alignment was a necessary evil during the times of Cold War as there were many states who does not wish to be in alignment with either of the two powers or opponents of the Cold War.

In order to remain and withhold their independence, the movement of Non alignment was initiated and motivated to stand independent from Soviet Union as well as from the Union of United States. The movement was initiated by president of Yugoslavia Josip Tito.
