Greater India is an area made up of a great number of south and south-east Asian regions and countries which have historically been impacted by Indian culture & languages. The word Greater India includes the historical & geographic importance of all political institutions in the Indian sub-continent and of culturally linked  or received considerable Sanskritisation & Indian cultural influence

Explanation:

  • From about 500 BC in, Asia's widening land & maritime trade have led to  a protracted cultural & socio-economic stimulation & dissemination of Hindu & Buddhist beliefs into the cosmology of the region, notably in Southeast Asia and Sri Lanka
  • At the beginning of the common period, most of South-east Asia's kingdoms had effectively taken on certain aspects of Hindu culture , religion and administration. The conception of the divine "god-kingship" has been laid out through the concepts of Sanskrit, Harihara, & other Indian epigraphic systems that was introduced by the South Indian  Chalukya Dynasty & Pallava Dynasty. These Indianised Kingdoms were characterised by political integrity, surprising resilience, & administrative stability
  • In the north, the Himalayan people accepted Indian religious ideas most deeply in Bhutan and Tibet. In Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and other parts of Central Asia Buddhist monasticism has extended, and Buddhist ideas & texts were readily received in East Japan & China. West of the India, the Indian culture converged with Greater Persia via the Pamir & Hindukush Mountains
