There are benefits and drawbacks to internet use. On one hand, the internet contains vast amounts of information that can be readily accessed by anyone with a computer. The internet fosters a global information exchange and allows people from totally different backgrounds share ideas and communicate in ways that were never possible before. On the other hand, the internet is an environment in which individuals may be made vulnerable to scams, misinformation, and exploitation. Increasing reliance on the internet may also reduce actual social interaction and/or hinder social abilities.

There are a lot of disadvantages to online school. First, they tell you that you get to work on your own pace when that really isn't true. You have to attend Live Classes that take up half of the day. The only way you can really communicate with the teachers is through e-mail and it takes a lot of time and some of the time they don't even respond. You can call them but its a waste of time waiting to get through all of the systems just to ask a simple question. Another thing is just the mindset of being able to put something off for months on end, that I feel is the worst thing about it because work can get piled up really easily. Another thing is you really don't get any social interaction, classes let you talk with classmates very briefly before they close chats most of the time. These schools are also failing, K12 is having to get rid of Kindergarten - 5th Grade because they can't support it and kids are more failing then passing big tests. I would go into a Charter School if you really want to keep away from all of the stuff happening in Public Schools.
