now in figure cotA=base / height
so by pythagorous theorem hypotenuse square=base square + height square

sinA =15/17 and secA=17/15

Sec A =

sec \: a =  \frac{hypotenuse}{ \: adjacent}

 =  >  \frac{17}{8}

Sin A= opposite/hypo

= 15/17
