Hi ,
It is given that ,
√2 = 1.414 ,
√6 = 2.449 ,
Now ,
1/√3 - ( √2 )^-1
= 1/√3 - 1/√2
= ( √2 - √3 ) / √ 6
= [ √6 ( √2 - √3 ) ]/[ √6 × √6 ]
= [ √12 - √18 ]/6
= [ √(2×2×3) - √(3×3×2) ]
= [ 2√3 - 3√2 ] /6
= [ 2 × 1.732 - 3 × 1.414 ]/6
= [ 3.464 - 4.242 ]/6
= - 0.778/6
≈ - 0.129
≈ - 0.13
I hope this helps you.
