Given : 2, 4, 8. If a, b and c are in continued proportion, then a/b = b/c. So, 2/4 = 1/2 and 4/8 = 1/2. As a/b = b/c. So, these numbers are in continued proportion

3 number is said to be continued proportion if the ratio of first and second number is equals to the ratio of 3rd and 4th number.

a/b =2/4=1/2

b/c=4/8=1/2

so

a/b =b/c

yes a,b and c is in continued proportion .

Answer:

Continued Proportion. Continued proportion : Three numbers 'a', 'b' and 'c' are said to be continued proportion if a, b and c are in proportion. Continued-proportion is also known as mean proportional . If 'b' is a mean proportional between a and c then b 2 = ac.
