Given: A (4.-3) and B (8,5). Find the co-ordinate of point that divid
seg AB intemally in the ratio 3:1.

By using section formula

x= 3(8)+1(4)/3+1

x=24+4/4

x=28/4

x= 7

and y= 3(5)+1(-3)/3+1

y= 15-3/4

y= 12/4

y=3

hence the value of (x, y) =(7,3)
