Given:

We have circle of radius r. and a point is located.

To Find:

We need to find the position of P.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Radius of circle is r with centre O.

First of all we will define some terms:

  • 1. Interior region of circle:

If distance of point(P) from centre  circle is less than radius of

circle, that point lie interior region of circle.

PO < r  Then we say point P lie  interior  of circle.

  • 2. On circle

If distance of point(B) from centre  circle is equal to radius  circle,

that point lie on the circle.

BO = R Then we will say  point B lie on circle.

  • 3. Exterior region of circle

If distance of point(A) centre of circle is greater than radius of

circle point lie exterior region circle. AO > R

Then we will say  point A lie in exterior region of circle.

Hence, we have OP<r thus, point lies inside the circle.
