Given a rhombus KLMN with vertices K(-3,2), L(1,4) , M(-1,0) and N(-5,-2).

We have to find the coordinates of its image when reflected across the y - axis.

Concept : Image of (x, y) when reflected across the y-axis is (-x,y).

  • Image of vertex K(-3,2) after reflection across y-axis is K'(3,2)
  • Image of vertex L(1,4) after reflection across y-axis is L'(-1,4)
  • Image of vertex M(-1,0) after reflection across y-axis is M'(1,0)
  • Image of vertex N(-5,2) after reflection across y-axis is N'(5,-2)

Therefore the coordinates of K'L'M'N' (image of rhombus KLMN) are ;  K'(3,2), L'(-1,4), M'(1,0) and N'(5,-2).
